Host a static website from a ZIP

A prototype, a coursework site or a landing-page mockup usually has more than one file. Upload them together as a ZIP and HTMLtoURL Pro publishes the whole site on its own isolated subdomain.

Upload a ZIP

In short

  • Put index.html at the top of the ZIP with its CSS, JavaScript and images.
  • The Free plan allows 20 MB total extracted per site, up to 2,000 files.
  • Paid plans raise the per-site allowance (50 MB, 100 MB or 200 MB).
  • ZIP sites are previewed after publishing, on their hosted URL.

Structure the ZIP

  • index.html at the root of the archive, not inside an extra folder.
  • Relative paths for assets, for example css/style.css and img/logo.png.
  • No server-side code — only static files run.

Size limits

Every file counts toward the extracted total. Free sites allow 20 MB; Starter, Pro and Business allow 50 MB, 100 MB and 200 MB per site. Free uploads also share a daily allowance across all free users.

Publishing from scripts or agents

The HTML to URL API accepts a single HTML document as JSON or a static-site ZIP as a multipart upload, and returns the live URL — see the API docs.

Frequently asked questions

Can I preview a ZIP before publishing?

No. ZIP files have no local preview; publishing uploads the package and opens the hosted site.

Will my site appear in Google?

No. Shared pages send noindex, nofollow and noarchive headers.

Can I use a custom subdomain?

Yes, random or custom subdomains are available.
